Elaine's Speech

Speech time at a wedding can be so much more than just a formality. Yes, it’s on the list of must-do’s - but this is your chance to say the things that we just don’t say often enough.

Of course, you must say a few words about your love. It would be odd if you didn’t, but this is a wonderful opportunity to tell your friends and family what they mean to you.

Elaine took this chance to tell her parents that she knew what they had done for her; that their love and kindness had never gone unnoticed, or unappreciated. We think everybody heard what she was saying, and thought of their own parents, too, while she spoke. There was barely a dry eye in the room ( including our own)
